Sept. 29, 2008 — Thermal Technology, LLC recently expanded its refractory metal hot zone fabrication capabilities by adding almost 4000 square feet of production space and increasing manpower, thereby creating one of the furnace industry’s largest domestic refractory metal hot zone fabrication facilities.
Thermal Technology produces high temperature vacuum furnaces, many of which require elements and shielding systems fabricated from refractory metals such as molybdenum and tungsten. The company’s recent expansion doubles their refractory metal hot zone production capability and decreases order lead time for related furnaces and replacement refractory metal hot zones and their components.
“Our strategic growth plan involves increasing our capacity and capabilities to better serve our customers. This expansion of our hot zone fabrication will positively affect prices and lead times for our customers,” says Matt Mede, president and CEO of Thermal Technology.
Thermal Technology’s production facility is located in Santa Rosa, California. They also have sales offices in Illinois, New Hampshire, Germany and China.
